ACRA Elects New Leadership
New industry association elects 2006-2007 officers, announces selection of executive director.
Sean Busking has been chosen as the first executive director of the American Car Rental Association (ACRA), an organization created to assist industry members in halting anti-industry legislation and fees.
“Sean is the ideal executive to take the association to the next level,” said Board member Frank Colonna. “He has the integrity, ability and energy to ensure its growth and success.”
Busking brings over 16 years of car rental experience within both franchise and major brand operations. He assumed the position of executive director on August 21, 2006. His office will be in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
ACRA has also announced the election of officers for 2006-2007. Dick Radzis (Ace Rent A Car) has been elected president, Joe Knight (Fox Rent A Car) as vice-president, Frank Colonna (Triangle Rent A Car) as Secretary and Rick Stevens (Payless Car Rental) as Treasurer.
The other board members include Chuck Anton (Alamo/National licensee), Bob Klyce (Avis licensee), Sharon Faulkner (Thrifty licensee), Gary MacDonald (Midway Rent A Car), and Jim Shapiro (past ACTIF and ACRA president).
