The Association for Car and Truck Rental Independents and Franchisees (ACTIF) recently concluded its 2003 Membership Drive. The membership drive encouraged current members to recruit new members to join the Association by offering entries into a grand prize drawing for airfare, hotel reservations and conference registration for two to attend the 2003 Car Rental Show, Oct. 1-3, 2003

For each new member recruited during the membership drive, current members received one entry into the drawing. The lucking grand prize winner was Sharon Faulkner, Faulkner Leasing Co., d/b/a Thrifty Car Rental of Albany.

"I was very pleased to win the grand prize drawing and be able to attend the Car Rental Show in Orlando," said Faulkner, who has been a member of ACTIF since its inception. "In the many years I have been an ACTIF member, I have told many people about the Association and the time and money saving benefits it offers. Winning the drawing was a great reward for something I would have done anyway."

In addition to offering a grand prize to a recruiting member, ACTIF held a drawing for two free conference registrations. Anyone who joined the association during the membership drive was eligible for the drawing. Bill McCauley, Quality Automotive Services, d/b/a U-Save Auto Rental & Sales, won the two free registrations.

ACTIF will launch its next membership drive in early 2004. For more information about the membership drive, how to qualify for the next grand prize drawing or how to join the association, contact Maggie Tatton, Associate Director at (888) 200-2795.
