After Acquisition, Advantage Appoints New CEO

SAN ANTONIO --- Following private investor group ARC Venture Holding Inc.'s purchase of Advantage Rent-A-Car, the rental agency has appointed George J. Gremse as CEO.

SAN ANTONIO --- Following private investor group ARC Venture Holding Inc.’s purchase of Advantage Rent-A-Car, the rental agency has appointed George J. Gremse as CEO.

Gremse began his career in the industry with positions ranging from station manager to division vice president at Hertz and National Car Rental. More recently, he served as president of North American operations for Alamo Rent A Car.

Managing national and international service driven businesses, Gremse was president of Adia Staffing, N.A. (now Adecco) and its 325 branches in the U.S. and Canada. He later served as global chief information officer at Adecco. He has also been president and chief operating officer at Far&Wide Travel Inc. and area vice president for Citibank’s New York Retail Bank.

A native of the New York City area, Gremse served in the Peace Corps and holds a B.S. from Cornell University and an MBA from Baruch College of the City University of New York.

Also announced was the appointment of Rick DeJarnett as Treasurer.
