Two of the world’s largest leasing companies are considering combining forces to create a global mobility leader. LeasePlan is in talks with ALD Automotive and its holding company Societe Generale to merge forces.
The combined companies, should the talks proceed to agreement, would create a company with 3.6 million cars under management.
ALD is a global leader in mobility solutions providing full service leasing and fleet management services across 43 countries. Its client base includes large corporates, SMEs, professionals and private individuals.

A statement from ALD reads: “There can be no certainty at this stage that these discussions will result in any agreement or transaction. Further announcements will be made when appropriate according to applicable laws.”
