AutoShare Officially Transitions to Enterprise CarShare
Toronto’s AutoShare, a part of the Enterprise CarShare network, will officially take the Enterprise CarShare name on Dec. 7.
Toronto’s AutoShare, a part of the Enterprise CarShare network, will officially transition to the Enterprise CarShare name on Dec. 7.
The change marks one of the final steps in the integration process that followed Enterprise Holdings’ acquisition of AutoShare in March 2014.
Since becoming part of the Enterprise CarShare network in 2014, AutoShare membership has increased 40% with more than 18,000 members, according to the company.
Additionally, Enterprise CarShare is now available at more than 200 locations throughout the Toronto area and has added a new Economy class with lower rates and more kilometres included per rental, says the company.
“This is an exciting new chapter for AutoShare as we fully integrate with Enterprise,” said George Kozyrakis, area manager for Enterprise CarShare, and previously in the role with AutoShare for more than 15 years. “While the name is changing, the service members receive from our dedicated, local team remains the same, and we’ll maintain our commitment to the community and leadership as a sustainable transportation provider in the Greater Toronto Area.”
AutoShare members can choose from new vehicles in the economy, standard, specialty or luxury categories. Options include the Audi A4, BMWX1, Chevy Volt, Chevy Express, Ford Focus Hatchback, Hyundai Accent, Kia Soul, Mazda 5 Wagon, Mini Countryman, Nissan Note and Subaru Outback, according to the company.
“We are thrilled to officially welcome AutoShare members to the Greater Toronto Enterprise family,” said Steve Tudela, Enterprise’s vice president and general manager in Toronto. “Since day one, we have worked hard to listen to our members and take steps to enhance their overall car-sharing experience. We are committed to carsharing in Toronto and providing members with an improved fleet, more locations and best in class customer service.”
Beginning Dec. 7, the AutoShare website will also automatically reroute visitors to www.enterprisecarshare.ca, where they can sign up for membership, get information on rates and make reservations.
