As a part of its cost reduction program, Avis Budget Group will close its Orlando claims processing facility and will lay off 113 people by April 3, according to the Orlando Business Journal.

The claims processing facility will be consolidated with other company offices or outsourced. Currently, the company has not released any information regarding benefits or packages employees will receive once their jobs are terminated.

Avis Budget Group plans to lower its costs by $150 million to $200 million annually by mid-2009 on top of the $50 million in annual savings the group previously announced.
