Avis Launches Avis Access Employee Training
Educational video demonstrates how to assist travelers with disabilities and proper use of Avis Access products.
In order to better serve travelers with disabilities, Avis Rent A Car System LLC announced the introduction of an Avis Access national training program to educate its employees on how to best assist customers with disabilities.
The curriculum reinforces techniques on how to best serve travelers with disabilities and also offers practical service skills, including recognizing certain disabilities and how to interact effectively.
Employees are also trained in the correct usage of terminology and language when dealing with persons that are sight or hearing impaired, speech-impaired or use wheelchairs. The specially designed educational video reinforces the proper use and installation of the Avis Access products and services that were introduced in 2004 to answer the needs of travelers with disabilities.
Avis will introduce the Avis Access training video for travelers with disabilities to all customer-facing employees beginning this month. In addition, all newly hired employees will view the video as part of their orientation with the company.
The Avis Access suite of products was introduced in 2004. The available products include transfer boards, spinner knobs, hand-controls and panoramic mirrors. Avis Access products are available free of charge with all Avis car rentals. For more information, visit www.avis.com/access.
