PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Avis Rent A Car has rolled out special incentives for AARP members through February 2004, including $25-per-week discounts, free upgrades or free weekend days.
In the September/October issue of AARP The Magazine, subscribers can find a reusable bonus savings card offering travelers special deals in addition to their current AARP discount. For years, Avis has offered AARP members savings of up to 25% on every car rental.
"Mature travelers comprise one of the largest demographic groups traveling and continue to have a growing presence as more and more baby boomers turn 50," said Scott Deaver, executive vice president of marketing for the Cendant Car Rental Group, the parent company of Avis. "They are very loyal and expect a quality product."
