Avis Offers Free Weekend Rentals
PARSIPPANY, N.J. - Avis Rent A Car has launched its "Weekender" promotion, giving customers free two-day weekend rentals for every weekly rental of at least five days.

Between now and June 25, 2006, customers who enroll at avis.com may earn up to three free weekend certificates to be redeemed for travel through December 17, 2006.
"Everyone appreciates getting a little something extra from the companies they do business with," said Scott Deaver, executive vice president of marketing for Cendant Car Rental Group, parent company of Avis. "We think free weekend rentals are the most valuable reward we can offer our customers today."
Customers need a valid Avis Wizard number to enroll in the program and participate. They may obtain a Wizard number by calling 1-800-722-5909. Those that have enrolled in previous "Drive Free" or Weekender promotions will have their enrollment continued unless they choose to opt out by calling Avis at 1-800-352-7900. Free rental certificates will be mailed to customers after completion of one qualifying rental. Rentals of five consecutive days or longer, from the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands qualify. Free rental certificates may be redeemed at all participating locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, but are not redeemable at Newark, LaGuardia and JFK airports or at any metropolitan New York location.
