PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Avis Rent A Car System today introduced "Twice The Love," a promotion that lets customers select either double savings from dollars-off coupons or receive double airline partner miles for all rentals April 12 through June 25. In addition, Avis "Corporate Award" members will receive double Corporate Award points on every rental booked online at www.avis.com.
Customers who have Avis dollars-off coupons can redeem them for twice their face value by mentioning the "Twice The Love" promotion when making a reservation. The potential savings is as much as $30 per rental. Customers will be asked to supply a valid coupon number and surrender the coupon at the counter prior to rental.
Customers not holding coupons may choose double airline miles, by referencing the "Twice The Love" promotion when making a reservation and requesting airline miles.
As an added bonus, customers enrolled in Corporate Awards, the Avis program for small businesses, will automatically receive double award points in addition to either double dollars-off or miles.
Members of the Avis Corporate Awards program receive one Corporate Award point for every paid rental day. During the promotion, customers will receive two points per day.
After accumulating 15 award points, enrolled customers receive a complimentary rental day certificate. Membership in the Corporate Awards program is free and open to all small and mid-size businesses. They can enroll in Avis' Corporate Awards program at www.avis.com/smallbiz.
"Now is the time for our customers to gather up all of the unused coupons that have accumulated in their desks and in the bottom of their briefcases and put them to good use," said Scott Deaver, executive vice president of marketing for Cendant Car Rental Group, the parent company of Avis. "We encourage them to redeem as many coupons as they can get their hands on."
The offer is valid at participating Avis locations nationwide and is in effect now through June 25. One coupon may be redeemed per rental. All coupon terms and conditions must be met before applying doubles offer. Double savings applies to dollars-off coupons only.
Customers must choose to receive one of the two bonus offers, double dollar savings or double miles. Additional information, as well as complete terms and conditions, can be found at www.avis.com.
