Additionally, members will automatically earn a minimum of 100 Avis Preferred Points on every rental. Members will continue to earn one point for every dollar spent on rentals and double points for every dollar spent on accessories.

"We know that travelers have a choice in car rental, so we appreciate our loyal customers and want to be sure that we show our appreciation by rewarding their continued business," said Scott Deaver, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Avis Budget Group. "We've enhanced the loyalty redemption portion of Avis Preferred in response to our customers' comments and suggestions, and believe that we have delivered a more rewarding and satisfying program."

Avis Preferred members can download the Avis mobile app on iOS and Android devices. Avis Preferred is free to join and is open to residents of the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
