Budget EV Rental Cars, a joint effort of EV Rental Cars and Budget Rent a Car Corporation, reached a historic milestone when its environmental rental vehicle fleet hit its millionth mile.

As of the million mile mark, Budget EV Rental Cars’ alternative fuel cars have prevented eight tons of air pollution, left 50,000 gallons of gasoline unused and saved renters nearly $50,000 in fuel costs.

The company also made history recently when it began renting out Pittsburgh’s first clean fuel rental fleet. In conjunction with the opening of the first public natural gas fueling station located adjacent to the Sunoco station at the Pittsburgh International Airport, Budget EV introduced 10 Honda Civic GX natural gas vehicles (NGVs) for rental at the airport. The Honda Civic GX is the cleanest internal combustion vehicle in the world.
