LISLE, Ill. -- Budget Rent a Car has added an athletic wear manufacturer, Roots, to its Perfect Drive customer rewards program.

Perfect Drive has a membership of more than 1 million Budget customers, both in the business and leisure segments. With every qualifying car rental, members can now earn points for leather apparel, watches and stadium blankets from Roots.

Under Budget's Perfect Drive program, members earn points for every dollar spent on qualifying rentals. Now through June 30, 2002, members can earn double points on completed rental transactions by booking online at www.budget.com . In addition to Roots apparel and merchandise, points can be redeemed for golf clubs and accessories, spa packages, Serengeti and Bolle eyewear, frequent flyer miles or credits, free car rental days or upgrades and more.
