TORRANCE, Calif. --- The 10th annual Car Rental Show, scheduled for Sept. 12-14 at the Las Vegas Hilton, will include a new corporate strategy summit developed for corporate executives.

The corporate conference-within-a-conference represents a new addition for the Car Rental Show. In the past, the trade show was geared solely for franchisees and independents.

"We think the car rental industry needs an annual event that brings together all industry segments -- not just one or two," said Sherb Brown, vice president and group publisher of Bobit Business Media's AutoGroup, which publishes Auto Rental News.

Speakers scheduled to address the corporate summit include Vafa Akhavan, director of consulting services for J.D. Power & Associates; John Turato, vice president of technology for Cendant Car Rental Group; and airport consultant Jose Pardo, whose assignments have included consolidated rental car facility projects in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

Speakers scheduled to address Car Rental Show general sessions and breakout sessions will be announced next week. The general sessions will focus on topics of interest to both small and major car rental companies.

Auto Rental News is producing the event. Registration is now available at www.carrentalshow.com. For more information, call (800) 576-8788.
