CarTrawler Expands into North America
The company is to deliver its car rental distribution platform to 20,000 agencies and corporate travel departments in North America.
Car rental distribution specialist CarTrawler has signed an agreement with the Airline Reporting Corporation —which provides financial and arline ticketing services for the US travel industry—to provide the CarTrawler tool to all ARC-accredited agents, TravelWeekly .
This gives the Dublin-based company access to the top rent-a-car suppliers in North America without the use of GDS.
CarTrawler CEO Greg Turley said the deal would provide "excellent incremental revenue" for agencies.
Allan Muten, director of strategic communications at ARC added, "Car rental is an extremely important source of revenue for travel agencies and travel agents are important to car hire companies. We have put the two together to generate a brand new selling platform that's going to benefit everyone."
