PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Cendant Car Rental Group Inc. announced that John Peebles will head up interactive marketing for its Avis and Budget brands as vice president of online and electronic marketing. In his new position, Peebles will oversee the avis.com and budget.com Web sites, as well as the relationships with Global Distribution Systems and online portal partners.
Peebles was most recently the vice president of client services for LockStream, a digital rights management software firm. Prior to that he worked for US Interactive, where he developed Internet strategies and Web sites for RCA, Network Solutions and the United States Senate.
Having also spent five years with Lexis-Nexis, Peebles brings to the Cendant Car Rental Group extensive experience in the development and marketing of electronic distribution products within a diverse group of industries.
