Company Offers $1 Daily Car Sharing Rentals

Drivers can rent cars for $1 a day under a new car sharing rental program in Canada.
CityFlitz, a Toronto-based marketing company that provides advertisers with a fleet of MINI Coopers, MINI Cooper Clubmans and Smart cars that are wrapped with attention-grabbing graphics and logos that act as mobile billboards, recently launched its auto-sharing service, according to a news item on CityFlitz’s Web site. For just $1 a day, members of CityFlitz will have access to its fleet of cars, wrapped in an advertisement from one of its clients, Yahoo! Canada.
CityFlitz, launched in Toronto recently, offers 12 cars to drivers frustrated with high gas prices and insurance rates.
The public can sign up to start driving those cars in early September.
Cars come equipped with Wi-Fi Net access and a GPS tracking system. Users can rent a car for up to one week at a time.
