Dollar and Thrifty Expand Pass24 to Fla.
The car rental company's Rent A Toll prepaid toll system will now be expanded into the state of Florida.
Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. recently announced the expansion of Rent A Toll prepaid toll service in the state of Florida. Dollar and Thrifty are already offering the service–branded Pass24–in Dallas, Houston and Denver.
Pass24 is currently offered at all Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental locations in the greater Orlando area. The service will continue to be rolled out at all Dollar and Thrifty locations in Florida throughout the month of October.
Ft. Lauderdale International Airport, Miami International Airport, West Palm Beach and Tampa International Airport will begin offering the service in the next few weeks. Customers who want to utilize Pass24 should request it at the time of rental.
Pass24 allows drivers to use the SunPass-only and E-Pass-only express lanes on the Florida toll road system, bypassing the cash lanes and eliminating the need to carry exact change, and can be used with any class of vehicle rented. Collection of tolls is tied to vehicle license plates and no electronic device is required.
