Dollar, Thrifty Expand Prepaid Toll System
The car rental company will now offer the Pass24 service to its customers in the Denver area.
Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc., the parent company of Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental, recently announced the expansion of Rent A Toll prepaid toll service to the metro Denver market.
The service, known as Pass24, is already offered in Dallas and Houston and will now be available at three Dollar Rent A Car and one Thrifty Car Rental location in the Denver area, including Denver International Airport for $8.95 per day. Customers who want to utilize Pass24 should request it at the rental counter.
Pass24 allows drivers to use the express lanes, bypassing the cash lanes and can be used with any class of vehicle. Collection of tolls is tied to vehicle license plates and no electronic device is required. Video technology is used to capture images of the rental car as it passes through the toll facilities.
Tollways served by Pass24 in the Denver metropolitan area include E-470, the Northwest Parkway and the I-25 Express Lanes. Information about these toll roads can be found at e-470.com, nwpky.org and www.dot.state.co.us/CTE/expresslanes.
