Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. announced today that Rick Morris has joined the company as executive vice president and chief information officer.

Morris will be responsible for providing the vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that improve cost-effectiveness, service quality and business development in a constantly changing, competitive marketplace.

He will lead Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support operations and achieve more cost-beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations.

With more than 20 years of experience in the information technology arena, Morris most recently worked for Capital One Financial Corporation. From 1995 to 2002, he worked for UMB Bank in electronic banking applications and data security, e-business systems and other technology-related disciplines.

Morris started his career at Payless Cashways as a programmer and applications development manager at the $2 billion home improvement retailer.
