TULSA, Okla. -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. reported record net income of $12.1 million, or $.49 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2002. For the comparable 2001 first quarter, net income was $.38 per diluted share, which included $.06 per share for goodwill amortization that's not included in the current-year results. Total revenue for the 2002 first quarter was $242.8 million compared to $251.2 million in the 2001 first quarter.
