Dow Named Vanguard's Chief Marketing Officer
Jerry Dow, formerly of United Airlines, is Vanguard Car Rental's new senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
TULSA, Okla. -- Vanguard Car Rental USA Inc., which operates National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car, has named Jerry Dow the company's senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Dow was previously with United Airlines, where he was managing director of worldwide advertising and promotions.
At Vanguard, Dow will oversee marketing for both National and Alamo. He will work from company headquarters in Tulsa, Okla., and will report to William E. Lobeck, Vanguard's president and CEO.
"I am very pleased to announce Jerry's appointment to this position," Lobeck said. "His leadership ability and marketing expertise are well known and recognized within the travel industry, and he will be instrumental as we continue to grow market share for both National and Alamo among the top-tier car rental providers worldwide."
