TULSA, Okla. -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group has agreed to purchase both the Dollar and Thrifty franchise operations in Boise, Idaho. The acquisitions include in-terminal locations for Dollar and Thrifty at Boise Airport, as well as a Thrifty local market store.
Terms of the transaction weren't disclosed.
"The key element of our growth strategy is to acquire both Dollar and Thrifty franchises in key U.S. markets," said Jay Foley, senior executive vice president of corporate operations. "With our focus on serving the leisure travelers, the Boise locations are an ideal fit for us. Boise boasts a myriad of outdoor activities -- from skiing to river rafting -- and we look forward to serving its growing base of tourists."
