Ten years after acquiring the National and Alamo brands, Enterprise Holdings Inc. — together with its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management — marked fiscal year 2017 by increasing annual revenues 6.5% to reach $22.3 billion.
“Our total revenues not only continued to increase significantly during FY2017, but they actually more than doubled during the last decade along with our fleet size,” said Pam Nicholson, president and CEO of Enterprise Holdings. “In addition, since 2007, we have grown our share of the U.S. airport business 10 percentage points.”
Enterprise Holdings operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands through its network of independent regional subsidiaries and franchises. The company’s fiscal year 2017 ended July 31.
Other milestones for Enterprise Holdings in fiscal year 2017 include:
- Nearly 1.9 million vehicles worldwide
- 9,900 neighborhood and airport locations
- More than 38% of U.S. airport business
- 100,000 employees
- Located in more than 90 countries and territories, including North America, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and parts of Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
“These kinds of milestones are achieved only one way in an industry as competitive as ours,” said Nicholson. “They are a direct result of our employees’ incredible work ethic and their all-in focus on customer service excellence and efficient operations.”
During this past fiscal year, Enterprise Rideshare expanded vanpooling programs throughout the U.S. Enterprise Car Club added to its carsharing fleet throughout the U.K.; it now operates in 25 cities. Enterprise CarShare is now offered at more than 125 university campuses and hundreds of business and government agencies in the U.S.
