ST. LOUIS --- Enterprise Rent-A-Car set a company record, tallying $8.23 billion in worldwide revenue, up from $7.4 billion the previous year. The company says that it has seen a compound annual revenue growth rate of 20.5 percent over the last 25 years.
In the fiscal year ending July 31, 2005, Enterprise also increased its fleet by approximately 80,000 vehicles to a record 818,000.
In addition, the company opened 455 local-market locations and 39 airport operations.
The company also saw a 32 percent growth in its international business, operating in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany.
Enterprise, a privately held company, did not disclose specifics on its net income.
The platform is designed to allow customers to compare and book rental vehicles more easily during the travel booking process.
