Roland Keppler has been appointed CEO for Europcar, succeeding Philippe Guillemot, according to a company press release. Keppler has directed Europcar’s German subsidiary — which represents about 30% of Europcar’s revenues — since 2009. He also helped to launch projects such as car2go urban mobility.
Keppler began his career in 1992 as controller at Preussag AG, before joining airline Hapag Lloyd in 2002, where he was appointed finance director of its Hapag Lloyd Express company. He was appointed CEO in 2005 and was named CEO of TUIfly in 2007. In 2009, he was appointed CEO of Europcar’s German subsidiary.
