Peer-to-peer car-sharing company FlightCar has expanded its operations to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). This is FlightCar’s four major U.S. airport location.
Currently operating at airports in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Boston, FlightCar provides its customers with free airport parking as well as the chance to earn money when renting out their unused cars to other approved members.
Since its launch, FlightCar has continued to expand and has the financial backing and endorsement of several investors, including GGV Capital, Airbnb Co-Founder Brian Chesky and Ryan Seacrest.
“We’re pleased with the positive feedback we’ve received from our customers, and we’re continually working to deliver the best possible parking and rental experiences,” said Rujul Zaparde, FlightCar co-founder and CEO. “We are dedicated to going above and beyond; it’s what puts us miles ahead of the rest.”
FlightCar’s service includes free drop-off and pick-up in a town car for both owners and renters, free airport parking and a car wash. FlightCar's rates vary depending on the year, make and model of a vehicle, but for renters, the fees are consistently 40-50% lower than other rental car companies, according to FlightCar.
Additionally, FlightCar insures each vehicle for up to $1 million on property and liability, says the company.
To celebrate the Seattle launch, FlightCar will give Seattle clients a guaranteed $20 in listing earnings through Nov. 15.
