HARS Systems Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiary VIP International Corporation, added 100% more new hotel and car rental clients to its service in the year ended September 30, 1999, as compared to its fiscal year 1998. In 1998, VIP added 635 new hotel and car rental clients to its service, while 1,257 new clients were signed in 1999.
Today the company serves in excess of 3,300 hotel and car rental clients in 68 countries.
VIP also experienced a 24% increase in bookings for the 1999 fiscal year as compared to the same period in 1998. This growth was significantly greater than what the travel agent global distribution systems experienced in the same period.
The Internet is becoming an increasingly significant source of bookings for the company. Nine percent of the company’s bookings were generated from Internet sources in the final month of fiscal year 1999.
Rental operators can now detect and act on speeding while vehicles are still on rent, thereby reducing fines, admin workload, vehicle wear, and safety risks.
