Hertz Again Official RAC for Wimbledon
For the 17th year, Hertz is providing rides to tennis stars, coaches and officials in livery featuring the strap-line "Driving the Champions."
LONDON, Jun 21, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- The Hertz Corporation, the world's largest general use car rental brand, is again the official transport supplier for The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships for the 17th year in a row. Over the two weeks of the world-renowned tournament, Hertz is providing rides to tennis stars, coaches and officials in livery featuring the strap-line "Driving the Champions."
A team of more than 280 drivers is operating the Hertz fleet of over 160 vehicles during The Championships. At the 2010 Wimbledon Tennis Championships alone, Hertz vehicles completed 15,874 journeys, carrying more than 26,000 passengers.
Hertz has been working with a number of its partners, including Air France, Aer Lingus, Etihad Airways, Ryanair, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Nectar UK, Deutschland Card, and ANWB (ARC Auto Club), to offer customers globally the chance to win tickets to Wimbledon and other travel prizes.
Hertz will welcome over 600 customers and partners to the event, and is hosting a Corporate Hospitality suite at the Center Court.
