Hertz on Demand Now Available in San Antonio
The car sharing program is in partnership with the city, and offers a free first hour through April 30.
San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro and The Hertz Corp. officially unveiled on March 29 a new transportation option for the city of San Antonio with the launch of Hertz on Demand car sharing. To celebrate the launch of Hertz on Demand, the company is offering through April 30, the opportunity to receive the first hour of usage free for customers reserving and using a car for seven hours or less.
Vehicles are now available in three locations throughout downtown San Antonio. As the program expands, the plan is to add 15 cars in additional areas, according to the company press release.
“This is another important step toward providing multiple transportation options to residents and visitors in order to bring San Antonio closer to the SA2020 goals of creating a more energy efficient community,” Mayor Castro said. “The City is proud to add car share to the growing list of dynamic transportation choices in San Antonio.”
