Hertz Supports U.S. Natural Disaster Relief
Hertz and Hertz Equipment supplies equipment to areas affected by natural disasters and donates to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
PARK RIDGE, NJ, Jun 20, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- The Hertz Corporation announces its participation in assisting victims of recent natural disasters throughout the United States by supplying equipment to areas devastated by these events through its Equipment Rental Corporation. Hertz Equipment Rental has also donated $38,000 worth of materials including hard hats, extension cords, and gloves to the Joplin, Missouri clean-up effort.

Hertz Equipment Rental is providing its customers in Joplin, MO with light towers, crawler loaders, trucks, excavators and forklifts. Hertz Equipment Rental is also supplying those affected by the Mississippi River flood with equipment for rent including pumps, trucks, and generators.
Due to the increased need of businesses in the Mississippi River area, Hertz Equipment Rental has been operational 24/7 and has deployed additional fleet and equipment in addition to staff to its locations in Baton Rouge, Broussard, and New Orleans, Louisiana as well as Memphis, Tennessee.
