The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners approved concession and lease agreements with seven rental car companies representing 14 brands that will populate the new Consolidated Rent-A-Car facility (CONRAC) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Companies that have signed lease agreements with the airport include: Avis Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Fox, DR Rental Car, Sixt, and Advantage.

"With our industry partnerships, the experience of accessing LAX will become more reliable, efficient, and modern — fulfilling expectations for this world class city," said Deborah Flint, CEO of Los Angles World Airports. "We are pleased that these companies have been engaged in our ConRAC planning process and are committed to being part of the future of mobility at LAX."

LAX currently averages 267,000 vehicle rentals a month, making it the second largest rental car market among airports in the U.S.

The CONRAC, which will be the largest in the U.S., will be located at the end of the Automated People Mover system — improving access to rental car locations and easing traffic flow. It is expected to open in 2023.
