Lexus has selected TSD Mobility Solutions to power its new loaner program, Lexus Customer Convenience System (LCCS). The partnership expands TSD’s 15-year relationship with Lexus dealerships and supports the growth of mobility options beyond the traditional courtesy car, TSD said in a statement.

As a Lexus partner since 2004, TSD powers 240 Lexus dealerships nationwide and will onboard incoming Lexus locations. TSD manages 17 OEM loaner and rental programs as well as thousands of car rental companies globally.

“We’re excited to continue to guide Lexus through these evolving times,” said Shawn Concannon, TSD’s executive vice president. “We have shifted our focus to help dealers interact with their customers in a safe manner during the pandemic.”

During the pandemic, TSD worked with Lexus on the Lexus LMS 2.0 app, which combines delivery and collection capabilities, direct connect telematics, and remote signatures to facilitate a contactless experience.

The LMS 2.0 platform supports the growth of mobility options beyond the traditional courtesy car and operating cost reductions to include loaner vehicles, rental cars, extended test drives, carshare initiatives, subscription options, and shared fleets.  TSD’s solution also provides an automated way for dealers to recoup fuel expenses and collect toll costs, the company said.

The Lexus Direct Connect telematics program allows loaner car managers to track the real-time location of their vehicles, set up geofence notifications, and monitor mileage as well as fuel costs.
