Matt Darrah, senior vice president-North American Operations for Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental, will deliver the keynote address at the 2009 Car Rental Show March 30-31 in Las Vegas.
Darrah’s address, a strategic industry overview, will open the Car Rental Show (CRS) at 1:15 p.m. Monday, March 30. “The car rental industry has always been highly competitive, but today we are also facing unprecedented economic and environmental challenges,” said Darrah. “That makes consumer trust more important than ever – and we must all continue to look for opportunities to enhance service, value and loyalty across the board.”
Darrah oversees operations for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car in the United States and Canada. Collectively, the Enterprise family of companies – headquartered in St. Louis – operates a car rental network of almost 7,500 company-owned and licensee locations in North American neighborhoods and airports, and is the largest and most comprehensive service provider in the industry, unparalleled in size, strength and stability.
The Enterprise family of companies, which acquired National and Alamo in 2007, owns and operates the largest fleet of passenger vehicles in the world today – approximately 1 million cars and trucks. Enterprise Rent-A-Car also operates internationally in the U.K, Germany and Ireland. In addition, the Enterprise family of companies' North American network is part of a global strategic alliance with Europcar, creating the world’s largest car rental network. Other Enterprise business lines include Enterprise Fleet Management, Enterprise Commercial Truck Rental and Enterprise Car Sales.
Scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Hilton, the 2009 Car Rental Show is themed "Building Your Future” and will focus on cost-effective solutions to thrive in the down economy. The Car Rental Show is the only national conference and expo that truly represents the auto rental industry. For conference program and registration information, visit www.carrentalshow.com.
