National Starts ‘Emerald Aisle’ Service at Fifth Canadian Airport
National Car Rental has added its “Emerald Aisle” counter bypass service for Emerald Club loyalty customers at Edmonton International Airport in Alberta, Canada — its fifth Canadian airport location for this service.
National Car Rental has added its “Emerald Aisle” counter bypass service for its Emerald Club loyalty members at the Edmonton International Airport in Alberta, Canada.
The “Emerald Aisle,” a section of the lot where members can select any vehicle as long as they reserve a mid-sized car, expedites the rental process for Emerald Club members by allowing them to bypass the service counter and pick up their car of choice, according to National.
“At National, we are committed to providing business travelers with a convenient and efficient car rental process so they can continue their work with ease,” said Chuck Monus, airport area manager at National Car Rental. “We continually work to improve our customers’ rental experience and are proud to be the only car rental company at the Edmonton Airport currently offering counter bypass service.”
The new “Emerald Aisle” represents the service’s fifth location in Canada, according to National. First introduced in Canada in 2010 at the Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver airports, it also expanded to Toronto Pearson International Airport in 2011.
“Having National's Emerald Aisle service at our airport is a big win for our passengers,” said Myron Keehn, vice president of commercial development at Edmonton International Airport. “With the Emerald Aisle, passengers can now get off a plane, into a rental car and on with their day quickly and effortlessly.”
