I have great news to share with you. Today, General Motors Corporation finalized the sale of all of its core assets to launch an independent new GM, called General Motors Company, or New GM.

The new GM is completely operational and fully competitive, with an exciting line of new products, and a more focused brand portfolio with Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. Importantly, we have a clear mission to put the customer first in everything we do. We will be led by Fritz Henderson as president and chief executive officer and Edward E. Whitacre Jr. as chairman of the board of directors.

We'd like to reaffirm a few important points:

  • GM will honor fleet agreements for ordered and out of stock purchases, and applicable incentive payments.

  • GM will honor the vehicle limited warranty commitments to owners of current and future GM products.

  • We have a strong dealer network that's the largest in the nation and is ready to meet your sales, service and parts needs.

  • Vehicle production continues as outlined in previously communicated schedules.

If you have any questions, please contact your fleet account executive or dealer. For answers to frequently asked questions and additional communication on GM's future, visit gmfleet.com/newgm.

General Motors remains fully committed to the fleet and commercial business. You are a key part of our viability and future success. We value our relationship with you and stand ready to earn your business today and in the years ahead.

Sincerely,
