NORWALK, Conn. -- Priceline.com has launched a Web site redesign and significant service upgrades geared toward enhancing the selection process for customers.
With advanced search options and product paths and the company’s Name Your Own Price service, Priceline.com is hoping to save its customers money, as well, under the campaign theme "More Ways to Save."
The new Web site features are embedded throughout the core airline, ticket, hotel and rental car products. Rental car features include:
Rental Car Search: Select a destination and the Web site displays a comparison grid of car types, rental car companies and prices, starting with the majors. The grid can automatically be expanded to include more rental car companies and prices. Depending on the desired length of their rental, priceline.com will show customers daily or weekly rates, along with the estimated total rate including all taxes and fees.
Off-Airport and One-Way Rentals: Customers have the option to rent from in-city locations, and they also can choose to pick their car up from one location and drop it off at another.
Name Your Own Price: Travelers can use this feature to pick the travel dates, car type, pickup/drop-off location and price, while the Web site searches for a major rental car company willing to accept that price. With Name Your Own Price, the exact rental car company is shown only after purchase.
Upgrade And Save: Priceline.com alerts customers to savings options for higher-level car classes.
