Rhinocarhire.com Wins Best Car Hire Website Award
"The winner stood out for trying to do something quirky and different in a highly commoditized sector. The judges felt the winning site successfully conveyed a personality backed up by solid technology which meant it was price competitive in what is a difficult market," judges said.
UK-based Rhinocarhire.com won the award for Best Car Hire Website at the 4th annual Travolution Awards ceremony in London on Sept. 28.
The awards competition featured more than 500 entries in 25 categories. The awards were given by a panel of 14 judges, included travel industry experts from Easy Jet, Virgin holiday and Travolution.
Rhinocarhire.com topped Budget and Carrentalbookers in the competitive Best Car Hire Website category, sponsored by Paypal. "The winner stood out for trying to do something quirky and different in a highly commoditized sector. The judges felt the winning site successfully conveyed a personality backed up by solid technology which meant it was price competitive in what is a difficult market," judges said.
"We are delighted to have won this award. It's the one everyone wants being so well regarded in the industry. To receive the recognition from our peers makes the team at Rhinocarhire.com very proud indeed. We have worked hard over the last four years to bring something a little different to the market and give customers a choice. Our online brand reflects our personality and was clearly favored by the judging panel," said Phil Partridge, marketing director of Rhinocarhire.com, who collected the award at the ceremony.
"We have all worked hard behind the scenes to bring a unique offering to the car hire customer. In a very competitive market we needed an edge to stand out from the crowd, an online presence and personality, and that's what we have delivered. Our use of social media is really taking off right now and it's an exciting time for the business, we continue to develop the Web site and the service we provide for our customers and plan to stay top of the car hire Web site ladder for a long time to come," he added.
Rhinocarhire.com compare the best car hire deals at over 20,000 destinations worldwide from major rental companies, including Avis, Hertz and Thrifty. In the United States, the company partners with Alamo, Budget, Dollar, National and Thrifty.
