SOUTHLAKE, Texas --- Global distribution system Sabre Travel Network has launched the first GeoShopping feature offered through a GDS. With the technology, North American and European travel searches can be conducted for off-airport car rental locations from specific geographic points.
Search queries can be made for locations and pricing by city and state, zip/postal code, address, point of interest, rail station or hotel. Returned displays include the rental company, its address and car types, rates and distance and direction from a search point.
