Silvercar to Open Dallas Love Field Airport Location
The automated car rental company will now be operating at three Texas airport locations.
Silvercar, the app-based car rental company that offers one model (the Audi A4), is set to debut its third operation at Dallas Love Field Airport. Currently, the car rental company operates at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
“Expansion to Love Field was an obvious choice,” said Silvercar CEO Luke Schneider. “We’re building a passionate customer base, and we’re going where our customers have asked us to go. … We fully anticipate continued growth throughout the year. We’ll open at more airports to accommodate our current customers as well as give those who haven’t tried us an opportunity to do so.”
As with the company’s other airport operations, Dallas Love Field travelers will have access to Silvercar’s fleet of 2013 silver Audi A4s - all equipped with in-dash GPS navigation, satellite radio and in-car Wi-Fi at no extra charge.
After exiting the Love Field Airport terminal, customers use the Silvercar mobile app to alert Silvercar that they are ready to be picked up. Travelers are then personally valeted by a concierge to the Silvercar facility just outside the airport. When they arrive, customers can walk up to a line of Audi A4s, unlock any Silvercar with their smartphones and drive away.
“Travelers don’t like inconvenience during their trips,” said Schneider. “They don’t like to wait, be corralled into lines or receive a different car than what they expected. We designed all those things out of the Silvercar experience, and our customer base has responded very positively.”
