Sixt SE and its U.S. Franchise Unit (Sixt Franchise USA, LLC) have announced the opening of a new Sixt Rent-a-Car franchise location at Union Station in Springfield, Mass.

"We are focused wholeheartedly on making Sixt available to Americans in as many markets as possible, as soon as possible," said Daniel Florence, co-president of Sixt USA. "Every time we have the opportunity to roll out the orange carpet in a new area, we gain a new group of loyal fans who use Sixt wherever they go. Union Station is an amazing location, and we're thrilled to be there."

Jay Harland Corp., the franchisee of the new Springfield location, has been operating as a Sixt Rent-a-Car franchisee since 2013 with locations in Connecticut (Hartford and West Haven) and Springfield, Mass.

"We can't express how excited we are to be opening a new branch at Union Station," said Eli Black, operations manager of Jay Harland Corp. "Our customers, many of whom travel by train and bus to get into downtown Springfield, will be better served now that they have the convenience of being able to rent from us in this central facility. We have served customers in New England for over 20 years and we know them well; it's our great honor to be operating in another key location where we will be able to meet their travel needs."

Located in downtown Springfield, Union Station is a train and bus transportation hub for the northeast. This new Sixt location is located inside the terminal on the first floor, offering a fleet that includes sedans, SUVs, and vans, according to the company.

Sixt currently serves more than 50 U.S. rental locations in California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Washington, Texas, Connecticut, New Jersey, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Massachusetts.
