Sixt has continued to expand in the Caribbean and Central America with recent openings in Nicaragua and Turks and Caicos Islands.
In Nicaragua, Sixt is located in downtown Managua with service to Managua International Airport. This franchise will also serve customers in Leon and Granada, according to Sixt.
On Turks and Caicos Islands, Sixt is located near the airport in the city of Providenciales. Sixt will offer a delivery service to all the major hotels and the three private airports on the island, according to the company.
“The philosophy of Sixt is to offer our customers an outstanding service experience wherever they travel,” said Fernando Intriago, Sixt’s vice president franchise Latin America & Caribbean. “With the opening of Turks and Caicos Islands and Nicaragua, we are delighted to further expand this offer to two beautiful and exciting travel destinations.”
Currently, Sixt operates franchises in 18 other Latin American markets. Within the last year, Sixt has opened locations in Curacao, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago and Paraguay.
“Latin America and the Caribbean are popular travel destinations for customers from the U.S. as well as many other countries alike,” said Ruediger Proske, Sixt’s senior vice president franchise. “In the past few years, we have — in coordination with our expansion in North America — made big steps forward in the development of these markets and have continuously strengthened our market position. We will carry on to be actively looking for suitable franchise candidates to continue our regional expansion over the next years.”
Sixt also plans to open locations in Bolivia and Grenada soon, says the company.
