Sixt, one of the leading car rental companies in Europe and an international provider of high-quality mobility services, has been chosen as the best car rental company in the world. The company is to receive the “2009 World’s Best Award” from the renowned international tourism magazine Travel + Leisure. The prize will be awarded on July 21, 2009 in New York. Regine Sixt, international senior vice president, marketing and sales, who has responsibility for sales in the United States, will accept the award in person.

The award is based on reader surveys and therefore on the expert judgment of travel professionals. Readers rated international car rental companies by the criteria: vehicle selection, vehicle availability, car-rental location, service and value. According to those surveyed, Sixt offers its customers by far the best overall service.
