Three Men Break Into UK Rental Car Facility After '57 Pints'
A drunken group of friends broke into a rental facility rather than waiting for a bus.
Three men broke into a rental facility in Exeter in Devon County, England this month, reported news website www.thisisdevon.co.uk.
After drinking 57 pints of alcohol, the three men decided to try and steal a car rather than wait three hours for the next bus home. The raid was unsuccessful, and two of the three accomplices needed medical assistance for wounds they received during the break-in.
After being treated in an emergency room for cuts from broken glass, they walked to the local police station to confess, according to the news source.
The men also told officers that another member of their group, Stefan Thorrington, 21, had taken part in the raid on Europcar in Marsh Barton, Exeter’s trading estate. Although Thorrington denied accusations at Exeter Crown Court, he was convicted and later arrested.
