JACKSON, Miss. –- U-Save Auto Rental of America Inc. has hired TSD and Dataplex Network Systems to overhaul the company’s reservation system. The project involves integrating the latest Internet-hosted reservation technology as well as seamless global distribution system (GDS) technology, the company said.

When completed, the overhaul will allow U-Save franchisees to receive reservations automatically into their rental counter system software. They will also have access to rate management systems.

"This platform will enable the entire system to share a common database for reservations, revenue management and marketing," said Sandy Miller, co-chairman and co-CEO for U-Save Auto Rental of America. "The new booking engine will allow the company to initiate a customer loyalty program and create unique marketing campaigns for use within the travel community. Our neighborhood rental locations, as well as our new airport facilities, will benefit greatly from the shared information platform."

TSD has provided vehicle rental software to U-Save franchisees for the past 15 years.

U-Save has about 300 locations throughout the U.S.
