A bill in the Utah Senate that would have created a tax structure for peer-to-peer (P2P) carsharing companies was killed in a senate committee, The Salt Lake City Tribune reports.
The bill's sponsor said she negotiated a compromise that both P2P and car rental companies could agree with, but there was not enough time to write the compromises into a new bill. The senate committee reportedly did not want to push through the bill without first seeing it in writing, killing it 5-1.
