Sixt SE and its U.S. franchise unit (Sixt Franchise USA LLC) have announced the signing of multiple franchise agreements with VERC Car Rental, a Massachusetts-based rental company. This partnership is part of an initiative to expand Sixt’s franchise network internationally.

Under the new agreement, VERC will convert its existing locations in Massachusetts to Sixt franchises, says Sixt. Additionally, VERC will open a new Sixt franchise at Boston-Logan International Airport as well as new franchise locations in Massachesetts' Suffolk County.

“We are extremely pleased to have VERC Car Rental join the Sixt franchise system,” said Craig Olson, executive vice president of Sixt’s North America Franchise Development. “VERC’s existing network in the South Shore area, and their desire to expand into the Boston area, will help establish a strong presence for Sixt in the Northeast U.S. VERC is a family-run business like Sixt and has been serving rental car customers since 1979. We look forward to helping them take their business to the next level.”

“We are very confident that the addition of Sixt’s tools and technology, along with access to Sixt’s customer base, will enhance our business model,” said Paula Vercollone, CEO and president of VERC. “Expanding our business beyond the South Shore has been a goal of ours and we feel we have aligned with the best franchise system in car rental with Sixt.”

According to Sixt, additional U.S. franchise locations will be opening throughout the year. And Sixt plans to continue to add new franchises in the U.S. and international markets, says the company. Sixt currently operates in 10 U.S. states.
