Wheego Announces LiFe Rentals in Cayman Islands
The Wheego LiFe, capable of traveling 100 miles with one charge, according to the automaker, is available to rent at the Alexander Hotel in Cayman Brac.
Wheego Electric Cars, a U.S. manufacturer of all-electric cars, announced Sept. 19 that the Alexander Hotel in Cayman Brac will offer the Wheego LiFe for daily rental.
As of Sept. 21, the Wheego LiFe is available at the hotel through Wheego dealer Cayman Automotive.
The EV comes fully-equipped with driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, power windows and locks, and optional air conditioning. The LiFe can travel approximately 100 miles on a single charge, according to automaker estimates, and can be recharged from any 100V outlet, or from a J1772-compliant charging station.
It is available in red, white, blue, black, silver and green.
“This culminates more than seven years of work to bring fully electric vehicles to the Cayman Islands,” said President and CEO of Cayman Automotive John Felder. “We will welcome visitors to our island with an emissions-free choice of transportation. The Wheego LiFe is an important part of protecting our beautiful surroundings for generations to come.”
