Worldspan has introduced new desktop tools for agents that streamline the car rental and hotel shopping and booking processes, according to Travel Weekly. Both tools, Go Car Booking and Go Hotel Booking, are accessible through the Worldspan Go script index on agents' desktops. The car-booking solution includes a new comparison-shopping feature, displaying search results based on car company name, location and price, Travel Weekly reports. Other new features include:

• The ability to search for off-airport rental locations by zip code;

• Mapping tools that enable agents to display rental locations on a map and pull up driving directions for clients; and

• The capacity to automatically pre-populate reservations with customer data from existing reservations.

  The Go Hotel Booking tool sheds traditional GDS formats in favor of point-and-click functionality, an asset for agents who weren't schooled in GDS formats, according to Worldspan.
