Advantage Car Rental, a growing auto rental provider in North America, announced recently it extended its services to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in Carolina, Puerto Rico near the capital of San Juan.
Advantage is teaming up with tenured car rental operators in Puerto Rico who have experience in the industry and knowledge of the area.
Through this partnership, Advantage will have access to local expertise and insights into customer preferences, market trends, and operational best practices to inform its levels of service, which will set the stage for a strong launch and a competitive edge in the Puerto Rico car rental industry.
“As Advantage grows its global footprint, we remain dedicated to providing more options, better pricing, and improved service standards,” said Remon Aziz, CEO of Advantage Car Rental, in a news release. “When people think about car rentals, we want them to know that Advantage can not only meet but enhance their travel experiences.”
In the first six months of 2023, Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport received more than three million visitors, representing an 18% increase year over year, according to Discover Puerto Rico.
Between April and June 2023, international arrivals into Puerto Rico grew rapidly with a 32% increase compared to the same period in 2022. As this trajectory shows a strong resurgence in international travel to Puerto Rico, Advantage can capitalize on this growing demand and establish a strong foothold in the Puerto Rican market through a convenient location at its largest airport.
Advantage’s entry into Puerto Rico marks a milestone in the growth of the company. Following the arrival into Mexico through a partnership with MEX Rent a Car earlier this year, the company is securing more of the North American market and working to become a larger player in the car rental industry.
Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Advantage operates in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas in the U.S. as well as Canada and Mexico. It serves business, leisure, government, and local customers with a wide range of rental vehicle services.
